What does the Clip Editor do that the main page doesn't?

The home page is for converting one file (or a small batch) one-shot. The Clip Editor lets you arrange several songs together on a timeline — drag clips around in time, trim and split them, mix per-track volumes, and save the result as a single file. Think of it as a tiny Logic / Audition / FL Studio that runs in your browser.

How many files can I add?

As many as your browser memory allows — each file becomes its own track. Web audio decoding is pretty efficient, so a handful of 5-10 minute songs is no problem.

Does my audio leave the browser?

Accepted Answer

No. Just like the rest of the site, every file you add is decoded and edited inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Question 4

Can I save my project to come back to later?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. Right now the project lives in the current tab — close it and you start fresh. A "save project" feature is on the roadmap once the editor is feature-complete.

Question 5

Will the export sound exactly like what I hear?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The export uses the same per-clip audio data and the same per-track volumes that the live preview uses, rendered through an offline mixer at the project sample rate.
